Hi

Symptoms include browser window home page changing to default:blank which shows a 'windows security centre ad' and various popups which lead to 'antispywarebox titan software'. Greys out my task manager windows.

Have worked through 'READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support ' and 'about:Blank and HSA Hijacker - Simplified Removal', all of which came up clean but without success on reboot.

Welcome to Majorgeeks!

You must complete ALL STEPS in the READ ME.

At a minimum you did not do any of step 6. Please complete step 6 and anything else that may not have been run.

Also as per the READ ME, HijackThis logs must be obtained from normal boot mode.

Hi. I ran Bitdefender but could not run Panda. The HJT was obtained in normal boot.

But you did not attach the log for Bitdefender as requested. And why couldn't you run Panda? What happens?

Please run the below procedure and then attach the requested smitfiles.txt log:

SpywareQuake & SpyFalcon Removal Procedure

And now also attach a new HJT log so we can continue with your cleanup.
