Hello everyone who may be reading this, I really need help as i'm about to go crazy!

I had some spyware on Friday and I couldn't get rid of it, so decided to install Windows XP again. All went OK.

Then I was looking for my motherboard disc to install the drivers as the Ethernet Cable Internet Connection wasn't showing and realised I had thrown the disc away. Anyway I opened my case up and got the motherboard name and went on a different PC and downloaded the different drivers.
The ones on the site I have downloaded are:
    Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility
    VIA High Definition Audio Driver
Atheros L2 Fast Ethernet Controller Driver
Atheros L1e Gigabit Ethernet Controller Driver
    Intel(R) Graphics Driver Package (WinXP)

The first two drivers installed fine but when I try to install the three I get the errors:

    >SetupNew\setup.ccp (135)
and >SetupNew\setup.ccp (140) PAPP: PVENDOR: PGUID:
    $15.0.0.498 @Windows XP Service Pack 2 (2600) .

So i've tried donwloading the drivers from several different websites and seem to be getting the same problem :(
I'd be so happy if anyone could offer any help or advice on my little problem.

    Oh and my specs are
    Core2Duo E8400
    4GB RAM (2x2GB) DUAL CHANNEL 800MHZ
    500GB HD
    9800GTX+ (512MB)
    and the motherboard is G31T-M7

    Please, thanks
    ELLIS

Sometimes it says my system requirements arn't enough, not sure how this works as I was running the same Windows XP Pro before.. Although I haven't tried installing any other drivers yet

Would you mind taking the time to post the fix here please?

Just in case anyone else has the same issue and goes looking for help.

All that happened was I was trying to install L1 ethernet drivers instead of L2. That's all ;)
