'AccDictionary.' indicating a 'Trojan' ?

    Click on the following link and use the below steps to scan a file: Virustotal

    Click the Browse... button.
    Navigate to the file FileToBeScanned

    Where FileToBeScanned is the actual file to be scanned. Like C:\WINDOWS\System32\vdmt16.sys

    Thanks for the reply.
    'Scan a file'... and I guess thats part of the problem, not sure what file might be associated with the registry entry, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AccDictionary.AccDictionary.1\CLSID [CLSID]
    Tried some AgentRansack searches but no luck.
    Also found another forum discussion at...

    ...that said dont worry about it.
    Who to believe ?

    Best way to check your system is to do the Read and Run FIrst instructions and let me review the logs.

    CCleaner is not a malware scanning program! It is only telling you something about a Windows Registry key that is more than likely not even a registry problem. And in addition, the AccDictionary key is a valid Windows key so either way not a malware problem.
