accelerater for dialup

    Does an accelerater program for dialup really increase download speeds? if so, any reccomendations?

    Nah, they do not.

    They work on bases of caching pages that you frequently visit, thus make this pages readily available, but they can do any thing about download which is restricted by the nature of the copper wire analog technology.

    The best you can do is optimizing your TCP/IP.
