Ok, here's the deal...I decided to do a disk cleanup...But while it was doing this i jus decided to cancel cause it was taken a while...I tried to hop onto the net, but it wouldnt come up and my laptop wasnt thinking at all...i restart my laptop when it says, re-install OS! So i do so and i had to do a system recovery, so i click the backup file one instead of destrucive one. It starts system rcovery and i go thro all tht crap, blah! IWhen thts done and over with, i go to the file where, supposedly, my stuff is. I click on a folder thts in the backup folder and it says access denied!!!!! I go to these websites tht are suppose to help, but they keep sayin sumthin bout a security tab, i cant find the security and i un-hide everything...then one website said i had to log in in "safe mode", how do i do tht? Also, would all my music still be on my laptop, or are they long gone?

    Actually theres another way

    Go to Start>Run
    type in msconfig
Now go to the BOOT.INI tab
Now place a checkmark on /SAFEBOOT
    Now reboot your pc

Just remember, once ye are safe mode, to uncheck that box in msconfig, otherwise, you will never boot into normal mode.

Another way to boot into the menu for safe mode, is to hold down the left shift key, after post.
