Access Denied Problem

Recently when i move things from my desktop to specific folder from my desktop too and try to delete things inside it, it gives me an error "Cannot Delete Access denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use". and i have to use the unlocker from Hiren to delete things.

And inside of that folder there a some files that are now corrupted.

I already scaned my PC with Fully updated Avast and Malwarebytes. but its not getting anything. I already tried the Hijackthis. and its not picking up anything either.


Do you have any idea what's causing this?

Start with a right click on the "folder" and choose properties, anything there? I You could run chkdsk c:/r from an elevated command prompt (run as administrator) answer Y hit enter and reboot,, then let it run. Curious as to the operating system you are utilizing..and how you are moving them.

 

Windows XP and im moving by dragging things to folder.

I checked the properties everything seems normal.

 

Go to your My Documents folder, from the top menu choose File, Properties, and take a screenshot of the Permissions tab and post that please.

Access denied messages are almost always NTFS permissions issues, and you may need to fix those permissions.
