Access VBA to web form

I have a custom database and I need to paste records to a webform.

There seem to be so many ways to go about this and I'm not familiar with any of them...

Now, there are several different pages and not all on the same site and most of the fields have different underlying field/control names than what I use on my Access forms.

    I read this discussion:

    http://forum.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=28653

but I'm still a little lost. These are not my web pages I need to paste data into, so I won't be able to change their extension.

I'd like to do something like Roboform but I need to use the records in my database.

I've asked this question in a few other forums and either no one has answered or I've been given links to specialized macro programs.

I've made a macro program to do this but I'd rather be able to address the exact field to store to instead of tabbing around through a bunch of fields I don't use.

    Thanks,

    Christian

can you give me more info about how you want to interface this? Do you want to load the web page in an access form or something?

I'll be more specific of what I'm doing.

I have a custom database made. There are fields which I'll need to mirror in an online database. Actually, there are currently two different online databases which we need to interface to.

The problem is, each of these online databases want us to enter all our information in their proprietary web portal.

The advantage we receive is being able to use their internal bullitin board and for the other, seeing historical information.

I'm not sure I'm explaining this right..

For now I've been looking at this:

    http://www.xstandard.com/printer-friendly.asp?id=32ADACB9-6093-452A-9464-9269867AB16E

    Which I got from here:

    http://www.ozgrid.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37640

    (#3 post)

The records in the above mentioned databases are client centered. So I'll sometimes need to copy information which others have already put in the database into my database and sometimes update/add information in all/both databases.

Of course, none of the fields/controls have the same names so I'll need to have an array to lookup the corresponding field name per web portal/database.

I was rereading your original post in the aformentioned thread.

I've downloaded one of the web pages and pulled it into Access as a DAP.

I'm used to setting the control source in a form and don't know how to change the control source in the copied web page.

I don't know which would be best, copying the web page to customize it then send the data or sending the data directly to the web page form.

    In your original post:

Sorry, I don't know how to do this. Could you post an example?

OK. So imagine when I eventually submit this data to the original website this extension change won't matter?

I have no idea how to do this..

I'm envisioning either a button on my AccessDB form to populate the fields in the webpage (or copy them into my form) OR like you suggest, a DAP copy of the original web page form, populating the form locally then somehow transfering that data to the real web page.

I've attempted to use the code proposed in the other thread I mentioned with the xstandard.dll but I don't know how to make that dll object show up in my VBA code editor.

    Understood.

    What is IIS?

I'd love to see an exaple of this. I know a little programming but I've never used VBA before and I learned Access last month under great duress.

Having this database autofill these web portal forms would be a great help. I hate having to double enter client records and the web page forms are incredibly user-unfriendly.
