Account #'s

I use onlie banking to pay many bills, and credit cards to purchase online.
On some, when I cue to enter an account number and password, the account number comes up without my typing it in. The pw I must enter manually.
Is there a way to not have my account numbers automatically post?

I suggest that you delete the cookies for these websites.

 

Those types of numbers are almost always stored in cookie files that persist from one session to the next, at least that's the case for MSIE and Firefox. If you're using one of those two browsers then you can use an app like CCleaner to delete your cookies after each internet session. One nice thing about CCleaner is that it allows you to set up a white-list of cookies that you don't want to delete.
