Acer 5610 start up problem

Hi,

I had a broken mouse pad and using the steps in the manual I took it apart and replaced it.
All was fine with it prior to the repair.
After putting the laptop back together carefully ensuring I double checked all ribbon cables etc. I can not now get the laptop to boot.
The laptop fires up (the fan starts) and then the hard disk light blinks 20 times and goes off also the screen is completely blank at all times and nothing is displayed when connected to an external monitor.
I threw a hard drive in off another laptop but this didnt make any difference at all.
I have double checked everything connection wise and all seems correct.
Anyone have any ideas ?
Not sure if the 20 blinks from the hard drive light is a fault code.

I'd have to look at the manual - I worked on one of those a while back. But I say take it apart and recheck the cables.
