Acer Aspire 3500 upgradeable??

Guys. you helped me greatly last time i was here and i am very grateful. i need your help again.
I have been given an Acer Aspire 3500 series laptop and would like to use it for Adobe Premiere and photoshop elements. The Adobe cd tells me i need a processor with 1.6Ghz but the Aspire 3500 only has 1.5Ghz. not sure how much different they are? If they are very different would i be able to upgrade the processor and do you think i will be able to upgrade the Ram?
Or do you think i am wasting my time even though it was given to me if i keep it i would like to pay a bit of money for it.

The 3500 I see listed on the Acer site has a Celeron CPU, that's going to be pretty weak and almost certainly means that fitting a Pentium M 1.6+ would push the heat envelope too far for the cooling system in it

Some studious Googling may turn some hacks to make it work with a better spec. CPU but Premiere would likely mean running it hard and hot for long periods of time, that's not going to be good.

It also has an SiS graphics chip, that's poor, too.

The RAM can be upgraded to 2GB.
