acer aspire one az3

I bought an acer aspire at a garage sale. No password and a message that hard drive needed to be replaced. So I bought a new hard drive and installed it. I powered up the net book and it says no operating system found. the acer Aspire has no cd ports or anything, disks. I am a novice, what can I do? I have the old hard drive I took out, but could never sign on because I don't have the password. Please help, did I just waste my $39 on the new hard drive?:confused

 

No you did not waste money if you needed a Hard drive for the laptop.Then you will need to buy an operating system for it.

Do you know any specifications on the Aspire laptop .

I am not sure how to crack the password for you some body else might help you with that.But some times there is a Back up reset option for the laptops give us the full detail of the system.

 

You can get USB dvd drives, to use on that unit.
