ACER ASPIRE one - Insufficient system resources exist to complete API

"Insufficient system resources exist to complete API"
"lsass.exe system error"

These are the messages that come up on my little cousins "Acer Aspire one".

I can't even get past the "Windows is starting up" screen.

This seems to be a common problem with this computer from what I can dig up online. However I cannot find a solution.

This little laptop has no disc drive so I have no recovery discs to try out.

I did read a suggestion about thumbdrives or recovery thumbdrives.
Does anybody have any insight into those?

 

Hold down the ALT button and start hitting F10 as soon as you see the Acer logo when you turn it on. Hopefully this will make it boot from the recovery partition and you can restore the default system partition to how you first got it. It will delete everything on there though, so be warned.

 

Yes it does. As soon as you turn the power on start tapping F2 and it will go into the Bios. Use the arrow keys to go to boot and change the order of startup so USB is the first thing it tries. You will then be able to put a boot disk on a flash drive and start your computor that way. I would boot to safe mode and try to do a system restore. Good luck. Hope this helps. 3's
