acer aspire one netbook not charging

my bro has had this netbook for atleast a year already and one time it came to a point where you needed to jiggle arond the plug for the charger in order to get it working

now there isn't any charging in prcess, the plug doesn't even appear over the little battery icon inthe corner

what could the problem be

its probiably the charger

we brought it home and did a little experiment
we pulled out my multimeter and its probes, plugged in the charger and stuck the probes to the plug that goes into the laptop, the UL lable says that we should be looking at an output of 19V but all we got was 0.001 volts (i'm going to say that mean zilch, it sometimes says that if you just connect it to a piece of wire. where can i find a new charger, do they sell them at best buy

 

The power connectors are very fragile it seems with the Aspire One netbooks. We have probably close to 200 of them in our district purchased last year and have had to send back about 50 of them due to the power connection being loose or pushed in and no longer able to power on via powerpack.

I would definitely say it will most likely need to be sent back for repairs.

i wouldn't bother opening up the netbook to do repairs myself (not worth saving the money by doing so) so just send it back to acer, or if not then go out and buy a new charger
