Need a diagram for the front panel wiring / pin layout of the Acer MB.SE201.001 used in Acer AX3400. Transfering to a new case, to use new PSU and graphics card, and need help connecting the individual pins to the board.

If you look closely at the board, and you may need a magnifying glass, the pins will be defined in white print on the board itself.

I'll try digging for you, but Ascendtech doesn't seem to have anything definitive out there in cyberspace. And the best I've been able to find was page 79 of this manual:

Thanks, found the manual a few times now. The board is strange in that there is only numbering on the board, and the front panel connector is only labelled as LED H1. I have found which is the power switch by shorting the build on :)

    7 pins - 1, 2, 3, 4, blocked, 6, 7
    7pins - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

PC turned on by shorting top row 3 and 4, so assume is power switch?
    Left to find are :
    + p led (1 plug)
    - p led (1 plug)
    reset switch (2 plugs)
    hdd led + and - (2 plugs)

Know that leads in previous case also led to top row 1 and 2 and bottom row 1 and 2.
Any tests could run by turning on or off to work out? Or do you know any of the expected outcomes when each is plugged in, so could trial and error that way?
And do the orientation of the pins (writing up or down) matter?

First build so learning as i go :)

Doesn't matter which way round the writing is but I put them up to read them.

You have to get the polarity of the LED's right or they won't work, try this configuration-

Top 1 and 2 is probably power LED 1+ 2-

Bottom 1 and 2 is probably HD LED 1+ 2-

Bottom 3 and 4 is probably reset switch polarity doesn't matter like power switch.

If you want the proper motherboard manual you'll need to find the make and model of the motherboard and check the manufacturers website.

What I see is that this is a "dead end" motherboard. It was intentionally designed not to be plucked from it's case.

If you can figure the pin configuration by "shorting" it, I hope it survives the process...

    hi there,
I know this thread is old but did you ever find out the final header pin configeration ? or can you tell me what texts to do to find out where the reset pins are.

i have attached what i know so far from the pins when i ripped apart the previous front case of the device to find out which is the power switch, HD Led, and Power LED.
i have concluded that the common wire white is ground, (negative)

Yet however i do not know how i can find the reset switch.
