Acer laptop power problem

    hi ladies and gents,
    1st poster here
    Im looking for help with my laptop. It charges briefly, then the charge light flashes orange, the power light flashes between purple and blue, and the light behind the power button flashes. if i remove the cable and put it back in, it works fine briefly.

    I have replaced the battery and charger. nothing helps
    any ideas?

    I have had to have our power cord to our acer 2 x now, in the past 3 years, that might be the issue.

    I have tried another cable since the problem started, but it still happened. both maybe faulty, but it seemed to work in the other laptop.
