Acquring network address issue even though i already have one

Hello,
This problem has just begun to arise and i have found only a few articles but no fixes that have worked. The problem is that in the system tray the lan connection constantly says acquiring network address even though it has a valid ip address already. I have confirmed this through ipconfig. I have tried the winsockfix, also trying to make sure that all necessary services are running. Any help would be of great use....Thanks.

 

Are you a wired or wireless connection to the network?

 

I am wired. I think i may have found what was causing the problem. I noticed that the Network Locaton Awareness Service was not running. I started this service and it seems to have solved the issue.
