When attempting to access the internet via Internet Explorer, I receive the following error message:

    ASE SCHEDULER (Window)

"Please be sure you have an active internet
    connection and try again."

The Internet Explorer window appears after a wait of 45 seconds to a minute.....sometime longer!

    I am a newbie.....

I would be most grateful for any help that
might provided me to correct this problem.

That is the Aluria Software's spyware removal tool, remove it from your startup items and see if that stops the error.

Start > Run > and type msconfig > click the startup tab. Look for the ASE Scheduler or Aluria program and uncheck the box. Restart your computer and see if you still have problems.

    Greetings and welcome to MajorGeeks.

ASE Scheduler is part of Aluria Software spyware removal tool.

Try uninstalling it, it's not a very good program anyway.

Once you have done that, go to the Spyware Forum and follow their recommendations to make sure your system is not infected and is secure.
