Trying to help a friend wipe out remains of corrupted Sidekick 98on his laptop running Windows XP Home. When we access Control Panel, there is no sign of Add or Remoe Programs feature. Where might we find it? If not available, what elso can we do to remove the corrupted Sidekick files? He has already run AVG 9.0 and Malwarebytes. Thanks for your help.

It can be hidden via security policy.

Try start, run (or search) and type appwiz.cpl.

Thanks for the suggestion - it helped us to find "Add or Remove". The question now is this: how do we get it back to Control Panel? Thanks for your help.

I found this old thread about his very issue--looks like it addresses the same issue.
