Add/Remove Windows Components

    When I go to Control Panel and click on Add/Remove Windows Components I get the following message: "Setup was unable to open information file au.inf. Contact your system Administrator. The specific error code is 0x2 in the line 2086412652."
    I made a little research and I know that au.inf is for automatic download of Windows updates.
    I am able to setup the Windows Update through the icon in the Control Panel and is set to "automatic."
    I have W2K Pro and I am the Administrator.
    All help is highly appreciated.
