Additonal security ?

In addition to my virus protection, I have the following installed:

Spy Blaster, Spy Guard, Ad-Aware and Spy bot which I run weekly.

Are there any other software proctection I need to use or replace what I have.

Also have CWshredder

You need a firewall, antivirus and antispy protection. Personally, I recommend AVG AntiVirus, ZoneAlarm Firewall and Spy Sweeper.

I forgot to mention I have symantec anti-virus and also a fire wall

Think your fine Java with those, while many dont like Norton and prefer some of the free applications you have as many bases covered as possible, the only things left are

Always update all your software, be that Windows Updates and your security software,

Surf as safe as possible, remembering not to click popups stating your infected with such and such, unless its a legitimate popup box from your security software.

Download applications from reliable sources always.
