I set up my wireless router several years ago, and because of a car wreck I had in the '80's I can't remember where I wrote the password down. I know that usually you can go to 192.168.1.1 abd use the default password "admin" and I tried that to no avail. Is there a way I can reset, or determine that password? Or would it be easier to replace my router? Thanks, Bewoldered.:confused

There should be a reset button on the back of the router to get it back to factory default condition. Generally holding it in for 30 seconds does the trick.
I would go to the support site for your router and look up the actual procedure as some do vary in what to do.
If you have a wireless key, you can input the same key after resetting so you don't have to redo all the wireless connections. (Hope you have that written down, if not, you will have to redo the whole set up on all the comps.)

Reseting your router will loose any port forwarding or custom settings put in to setup your internet, so make sure you have those handy or you might be out internet completely.
