I am having problems downloading certain programs and doing certain tasks. It seems that I keep getting - You are not authorized to do this, please see administrator for authorization. My question is, I am the administrator, so how do I remove this function? It also comes up to enter a password to log in when I reboot or turn my computer off. I never had to do this before and I do not want to mess my computer up. I must have changed something in my files but, I do not know what I did. How do I allow any one to do any thing they want on my computer?

    Hi and welcome to MajorGeeks.

In Control Panel, go to User Accounts then to Change the way Users Log On or Off and make sure Use the Welcome Screen is checked and Apply Options.

Not related to your problem, but SP2's security feature sometimes blocks downloaded programs. (if that's what you're using)

You have to right-click, then properties, then Unblock.

Again, not related to your problem, but FYI only.
