I often visit 2 car forums and recently on both sites and only these I've been getting a message box which is headed Adobe Flash Player 10 as follows: A script in the movie is causing Adobe 10 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. It then asks whether I want to abort or not. Regardless of the option I choose, I have to end task to get out which can take several minutes. Obviously, I don't have any movies running. My system is XP Pro, SP3. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi

Have you installed the latest Adobe Flash player yet? if not update to it and that message should disapear as many sites have updated content to latest Flash version. Its not you have movies running on your PC but the content on many sites are created in Adobe Flash and are concidered small movies.

    Latest Adobe Flash Player

    Hi Jud

If you try those sites in IE do they work ok?

Try installing directly the Flash for Alternate browsers, even tho the one I linked to should have been for all versions. Alternate Flash here (select OS then Other browsers, untick the Google addon thingy)

Do others on those forums have similar issues? just want to trace if its the website or your PC.

Hi Halo, I don't use IE but I guess I could try it. First though I'll download the Alternative Flash and see if that eliminates the problem. Also, I'll post a message about my problem on both sites. The problem only exists on these 2 sites but they are the only car forums I visit. I should add that this problem has significantly decreased since I updated Adobe. Thanks, Jud

    Hi Jud

Seems like a site issues buts let's wait for others to reply as not good judge so far, try Firefox in it's safe mode ( found in programs and the firefox folder)
