Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 Error

Hello,

i've been trying to install the new lightroom 3 from adobe
every time it stops in the middle of installing and give me an error
says " Error 1326.Error getting file security:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera\GetLastError: 5"

the last number changes last time it was 3 but right now it is 5 any way

when i press OKi get this msg:

"The wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 could be completely installed.

Your system has not been modified . To complete installation at another time, please run setup again."


i tried to take own of the whole programdata folder but didnt work
i tried closing all running softwares and that didnt work either
i even tried to update my cameraRaw plugin i didnt really know if that would help but it didnt even complite installing i didnt care much since i dont really need it now

i just need the lightroom 3 to work

my OS is 32bit i install the 32bit version

as for hardware : 2GB DDR2 - 1TB HDD - Intel C2D 2.7 (E7400)

as for softwares : i close them all and it still doesnt work so i dont think we have issues here but : Firefox ,windowslive MSN , VMware ( i disabled the internet connections for it)
IDM, Avira antivirus


i had Lightroom 2.5 installed

i have PS CS4 installed , AE CS4 installed , Adobe premier CS4 installed , Flash player , Adobe Acrobat installed

i hope any one can help me please thank you

guys please any one can help i look all over the internet there is nothing helping :| my friend got the software running at vista pc perfectly why not working at mine ...

some guy at adobe said it might have something with the UAC i turned it off even the avira is off and still wont setup :| please help me i need to run the software


P.S: i cant contact Adobe on the phone since i dont live in USA and they dont even have any other contact way :S

 

here is what i've done

i downloaded Lightroom 3

i tried to install it
i got the error
i found out i i didnt uninstall the 2.5
i did uninstall it
i tried again
same error

as for my copy it is from Adobe trial and it should be working fine since now one in the world have this issue with lightroom 3 except me, some other guys has it with adobe acrobat but my acrobat works fine xD

and i cant contact them i told you the only way is phone and i'm not in USA

 

ok i've done every step
the first one i couldnt find adobe photoshop lightroom
ijust found every other adobe software i have xD
also i found camera raw 5 i didnt want to remove that before asking first if its gonna help

in the second tool i didnt find anything about lightroom eirther but i found adobe flash player i ignored that aswell since cleaning it will clean my windows live logs and i need it sometimes

as for registery i found loads of issues and i fixed all and backed up before fixing as it asked

now u say i should download it again well i dont see the point here since i already downloaded it 2 times before but what the hell i'm doing it again xD

as for the "contact adobe" part well they dont have stores here in my city xD international calls ain't cheap my friend

 

it didnt work i did exactly as u said i redownloaded i disabled the avira i installed and still getting the same error :| and even i tried to remove the camera raw 5 from the list in the clean up and yet i get the error :|
and that is so weird
what should i do :| :confused

andi tried the method u told me about i'm admin user and also i choose run as admin every time
also i tried to change the comp to vista if it might work but it didnt

i'm using firefox browser and the download was done by IDM
i'm not using beta apps

i didnt know that they even have beta apps xD
i just have PS CS4, AE CS4, FL CS4 , Pr CS4, OL CS4 , En CS4 ,and DW CS4 oh also Drive CS4 , you can say every CS4 xD

and of course with the encoders and expansions and stuff

i'm gonna try the link u gave me now and see if that may work

i tried the Lightroom 3.2 and got the same error
now i'm downloading camera raw 6.2_r1 and 6.1 if u have suggestion which one to install tell me
and btw i'm 32bit and when i install i go into the subfolder and open the 32 setup just in case if the other exe defulted to run 64 or its crashed or something and any way i tried both but yeah nothing different

Edit: i forgot that i already have the instal of 6.1 and when i install it it says i got to have adobe app manager
any idea where i can get that !

Edit: same goes for 6.2r1 when i click the link it gives me i find it broken :s

why does adobe hate me that match xD

The Beta installed fine for me; I'm using a stripped version of 32-bit W7, which often thows up install errors.

Heve you tried installing it from a new User Account?

Have you had any infection alerts or suspicions or ever needed to disable your A/V to install anything else?

 

i tried to install on another admin account and i got the same error :s
and i downloaded and installed PS CS5 successfully i thought it would solve any problems since it should have the new camera raw but nothing really changed
actually after installing the PS CS5 it said install finished but some important utility couldnt successfully install i just clicked finish and run the software it worked just fine with no issues
i thought the error i got with PS has something to do with the issue i got with Lightroom 3 maybe something about the camera raw itself :/ btw the camera raw is the first folder that is created while installing Lightroom and it fail so still blaming camera raw isnt for sure tho it might be something withe my computer yet

and @satrow i don't know what is A/V ... the A/V i know is Audio Video cable xD

Edit: i just guessed u might mean antivirus if so , nope avira never caused any issues

the last software is Zbrush ,
well i hope this could help to find out whats up with this OS xD
and yeah i know the Demo works cuz no one had problems with it but me
so please don't give up on me XD and just suggest any thing and i will do it

 

Uninstall:
Ask Toobar
Adobe Flash Player ActiveX
Java 6 update 17

Then install the latest versions of the Flash ActiveX and Java.

Check Windows update for .Net Framework 1.1, I think there's a SP or patches for it, they may already be installed but hidden though.

I really have no clue as to the full requirements of Lightroom but the install may be failing because of something random like Punkbuster?

Can you attach the Application and System logs from Windows Management Event Viewer please, they'll export as *.etl's, just zip them before uploading.

A list of all Startup items may be useful too, you can get those within CCleaner.

And a list or screenshot of your running processes after a reboot, please.

 

believe me when i tell u i dont really remember what is punk buster xD
i will do any thing to install the lightroom so i'm uninstalling it

Edit: oh seems like it has something to do with battlefield bad company 2 xD

 

i coudnt export th logs i opened the event viewer but i coudnt find Export order any where only Import

i uninstalled what u i've told me to uninstall , i didnt install the java or the net framework yet but i'm going to try now
also the flash Activex i dont really know where did i get that from so i uninstalled the flash player and reinstalled it from Adobe.com it works now but i didnt get the ACtivex yet i searched adobe for it but i didnt find it

Try using Alternative Flash Updater but don't allow it to run on Windows boot (startup).

Also many other errors related to security and many logins/logouts occurring that I'm not at all happy about.


My advice? Malware forum for a good checkup, read through the Stickies there to understand what's expected of you and in what order.

 

cant i just uninstall the software that cuzing issues clean the registry again ?

 

We really don't know exactly which software(s) or bugs/infections are causing any of the problems in your PC.

I would begin by making sure any/all infections/malware are cleaned before going any further around the install/uninstall loop.

 

i've had only one maleware in the system lately but i removed the file already after my antivirus told me now its all clean i should have any malwares in the system
and the file i removed has nothing to do with the system its self actually

 

Well, something looks like it's seriously messing inside your machine, take it to the Malware forum and let the folks there get it checked over.

If there's no malware on your machine, I'd get a priest in with the Holy Water - or nuke Windows and start afresh.

 

hahahaha reinstalling windows will be long journey to install all the plugins i have now
i'm gonna take the links to the maleware forum and see if they can help with that
i kinda think it might be the installed Adobe softwares but lets see

OK i'm malware free xD and still got the problem
also i remembered i had this issue with iTunes i never fixed it cuz i didnt care much about it

so ppl if just if any thing comes up with ideas to fix this weird issue share it with me please

Hi kilwa, i had the same as you are having what i did was simply rename each and every folder it is saying giving problems,, after changing about 5 folders name i was able to install lightroom 3.3 and it is working fine since than hope this solves your problem. Take care

 

and you dont need to worry about changing the names back to what they were since they are auto generated by the lightroom when you run it

 

Thanks man , but it's kinda late xD i formatted the whole windows and reinstalled it, its working fine now , but sure i would use this method the next time it happens again

Oh, i am sorry you have to go through that..... now lets hope other fine this solution before going to that extremes
