adobe photoshop starter edition

I am having trouble saving pictures to a disc from the catalog on adobe photoshop. I have the starter edition. The pictures are in the catalog and I was able to organize them into groups but when I try to save them to a disc I get a message that some of the files are missing and can't be located. IF they are in the catalog which is on the harddrive would they be somewhere in a hidden file that I can't find? Can someone help me to know how to find the missing files? Thanks for any help I can get.

Hi

It depends on how you added pictures to the catalogue, if you have pictures on CDs and added them to the catalogue but didnt choose the option to copy them to Hard Drive, but leave them on the CD or removable media ( called Offline ) that only the thumbnails are stored in the catalogue and not the full image, which is why your getting that message.

Double click one of the images in Photoshop Starter that states its missing and see if it opens, also right click and choose open containing folder, may give yo ua clue as to where its stored.

Thank you for your help. I did what you suggested and found most of the missing files. I knew they had to be there just didn't know how to get to them. I downloaded them from a camera but didn't delete them from the camera until I had unplugged it from the computer. At any rate, just want to thank you and anyone else who had any suggestions as it really helped me out alot. Have a wonderful day!
