My Adobe reader program is not working properly when I try to start, remove or repair the program A box saying " Internal Error 2721. SetRemoveBlockingProduct" and I have to cancel out and another box opens up and says "Fatal error during installation." Anyone know how to to remove or repair this program?

Looks like you may have to do it the hard way, mucking about with registry and manually deleting the files the constitute the program to do a fully comprehensive uninstall. Don't do anything if you are unsure about how to modify the registry though.

Never seen an error like that, the install / uninstall file may have been damaged or modified in some way. I wouldn't thought malware would be responsible for something like that, but do a bitdefender and panda active scan anyway just to be sure.

XP PRO Sp2 I am the admin. The was the first thing I tried to repair the installation. I don't think its spyware or a virus. The OS is not even two weeks old on the machine and I am not using it very much. I have not even got around to activating it yet. ( This is why I wait until the very last day)

If you need a pdf reader try Foxit reader.Only around 2.5 meg installed and much quicker than adobe.

As for uninstalling adobe the installer could be corrupt as Silverman said. You could try Windows Install Cleanup to delete the installer and try again.

Once you get it off your system try Foxit,I'm sure you'll like it.

Even though I also use Foxit reader, you can try re-installing acrobat reader 7.07.

Anyone know how to manually delete this program? It is the only way to get rid of it that I can think of.
