Adobe Reader Issue

    Greetings from Frustration Land,
    I have loaded Adobe on my PC and it will not allow me to open attachments from MS Outlook. I have to save all files then open Adobe to reopen them. I suspect that Reader is messed up but would like any suggestions any of you would have to fix it. My OS is XP Professional. I have passed frustrated.....Thanks in advance for any ideas or help.
