Adobe reader ?

Started to d/l adobe reader 7, saw that the d/l takes more than 2 hours, is there another alternative?

I like 7, personally. Even without the quicklaunch app, I find it loads faster than 5 (and much, much faster than 6).

I've been using Foxit PDF reader for awhile now, and have yet to run into any issues.

The Foxit reader has no installer, as far as I know and you'll need to configure .pdfs to use Foxit.

Unless there is a newer version out there.

Also, version 7 of acrobat reader is far supperior to version 6. My complaint with 5 is that it is kinda old and that I've ran into issues where certain .pdfs will not open properly, due to the fact that more people are using Acrobat 6 to create .pdfs.

Java.. give Foxitpdf a go, if you dont liek it then its one of those downloads to do when you are going out for a few hours or sleeping.

Apart from as da chicken said, the faster opening times in 7 over previous versions it also has many security improvements, more selection tool options, improved search function and other options only available if you have the full acrobat.

I have used acrobat pro for years mainly in my lst job and more so in this job, I deal with documents that could go from PC to Mac and various PCs and if I didnt use PDF the formatting of the docs would be lost as not all pcs have same fonts etc
