    I am unable to install flashplayer or shcokwave player in my windows 7 system

    Does it come with any error message when you trying to install flashplayer or shockwave player.

    if you read the original post caliban he is trying to install flashplayer or shockwave player not uninstalling it.

    There are no error messages. A window opens saying that Adobe Flash is being installed but nothing happens (for hours). I did run the Adobe uninstaller and then tried again. Same result

    grab the exe installer. If you also use FF, you need to download and run both of these; one is for IE and the other is for FF and Opera. Be sure the browsers are closed when you run the exe files.

    I've used these two programs on 6 computers lately with no problems (2K and XP only, sorry). I don't run Win 7 so I can't test it.

    This might be the standalone shockwave player http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

    I have tried the .exe installer without success. Alsoo I am using 32 bit

    Where are these files stored? I might be able to restore from backup if I knew the correct folder?

    I found and restored the macromedia folder but flash player does not work
