Adult Beverages

I've seen lots of threads mentioning wine / beer & other adult beverages, so how about sticking some in their own thread, and like Ivan Drago would say "If it dies, it dies." LOL

I'm always on the lookout for good beer, usually pick something I've never heard of, just to have it at the house. My last 6 pack was Smithwick's (brewed by Guinness)

It was pretty good, no complaints, and it wasn't very pricey either, close to $9 for a 6 pack. I think Guinness is more than $10 for 4.

I was at Ruby Tuesday last night, and had an Abita Turbo Dog, it was great. $4 a bottle, but I have a feeling it'd be cheaper elsewhere, you know? I love dark beer, this one was a bit chocolate, very nice.

I think my favorite beer from a restaurant so far has to be this British beer.

It comes in a draught can, and is very good. I just googled for the picture, and I guess it comes from Manchester, UK and is nicknamed "The cream of Manchester."

Sapporo beer from J-pan. This stuff is some great beer. The Japanese know how to drink, let me tell you.

Other than that, im mostly in to red beer. Killians is one of my favorites. James Page is good.
Guiness, different, dark, and tasty.
I just love beer.

 

A local beer here, from St. Mary's, PA is Straub. I don't know how far it reaches, I'd bet even LauraR can't find it, but it's pretty decent. They don't use any preservatives at all, and don't ship it very far. Made from local spring water, yadda yadda yadda

Dog is pretty popular.......but Guinness wins hands down.

While in SL from 1992-1994, I really liked McEwans Blue in the 500ml cans from the UK. Sorry, but I can't find a graphic for it.

Also I can't find a source here in OZ. :cry

I can get gallons of the stuff, if it is McEwans Scotch. It's brewed just up the road from me, in Edinburgh.

 

Ironicly I was sipping on a Modelo when I saw this thread! lol My fav Beer is the blue label Chimay. You can age them like 10 years, supposed to be really good when aged. I don't have the patience... :-D Tastes good young!

Been trying a few Martinis lately. I like the Gin. @ Laura, Gin is infused with Juniper and other herbs for flavor, thus the pine taste.

 

Only gin that didn't rot my mouth was Tanqueray. The rest were like turpentine.uke

 

Slow gin and orange juice today at the resturant after fixing the receipt printer.

 

Try Bombay Gin, herbs, spices, it's beautiful.

 

We have a 24 box of it in our garage from a party about 3 years ago - it's nasty stuff!
Hate creamy beers, but don't mind a proper ale myself.

Will happily drink Stella, despite it being labelled as Wife-Beater now!
As we're slipping into the warm weather though, a nice Gin & Tonic with plenty of ice and a few slices of lemon does it nicely.
