    Hi

This *could* be a false positive, but let's make sure things are OK for you.

Please follow thru the Read and Run me first procedures which I linked you to earlier in the welcome centre

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

    Notes:
    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, You can try running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

Plus a guide on HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post

Finish working your way thru this and when complete upload the four requested logs, those being:

    • SUPERantispyware
    • MalwareBytes
    • Combofix
    • MGlogs.zip

    Thanks
    Kes13!

    Hi

Yes while it's true that someone else here on the forums dealt with the same possible infection you have...it's also true that they could have a different machine....different anti virus...different anti spyware app's....a totally different set up to what you got ;) So the fixes are therefore tailor made for each individual machine that we come across.....hence...if you wish for us to help you...you will have to go thru the above...if you don't, then I can't force you :) Decision's entirely yours unltimately

    Thanks
    Kes13!

Site owner here, allow me to be clear. You asked pros for help, you might listen. You have decided, for whatever reason, that Advanced Windows care has infected you. It has NOT. No one else has this problem including 1.6 million people just here on Majorgeeks.

That said, allow me to take YOUR head in the sand approach if that was not clear for you. There is no such program listed here called Advanced Windows Care Beta 3. Thats it, now I can fight with you over and over that the program is not here when its simply called Advanced SystemCare beta 3.

Now, lets fix your problem. Uninstall PC Checkup and stick to downloads for your pc from us. Some programs like, spyware Doctor will detect it as a trojan.

Your welcome to stick around, but its not very polite to ask a question 9 different times, then disrepect our volunteers.

uh ya it is system care, it was windows care, and talk about head in the sand, if you never hear of this problem, then its YOU who has thier head in the sand, i've already seen it elswhere, thats how i found out it was system care creating the alert, so rant that B.S. to someone who'll buy it.

Just to clarify.... so you ask for help. Then tell the website owner and its volunteers who have helped millions of people that they are wrong, but you, who needed our help, is right. Yeah... I wonder why malware keeps spreading. I call it head up your a55 syndrome, but hey, it keeps us busy. Good luck.
