Advent Sound Driver

    Been using an advent windows xp laptop and it stopped working so i wiped the computer and installed windows xp again. Only problem now is that i have no sound. What should i install? Please provide links

    Installed Realtek Audio Driver but it did nothing and doesnt show up in the audio properties.

    HELP!

    Hi

    What Service Pack is your Windows XP at? (to find this you can click Start > Run and type winver and hit enter)

    What is the model of Advent you have?

    In Device Manager what devices have yellow ! marks by them?


    The best option is to install the Chipset driver then reboot and if your XP Service Pack is less than SP3 then install the UAA driver HERE then install the Audio driver again.

    The model number/version of Advent will help us know what Chipset driver to install, but to also assist to run the below and attach the log as written.

    Got the sound sorted. However the buttons on the laptop won't work. The buttons aren't on the actual keyboard but are on the laptop if you get me. They do various things such as open up an email service and activate Wireless internet etc.

    Since i rebooted the laptop these buttons don't work so can anyone link me up to a driver to download to sort this problem. Cheers

    You are going to have to let us know what Avent model PC you have as the media button software maybe different driver or software, do you have the original driver/software CD?

    Without a model number/code we cannot help.
