I hope this is the right thread for what I want.
Due to a powersurge that resulted in my com being fried, not my fault, transformer on external mains blew up.
The power company is paying for damage caused to all electrical appliances in the house that were damaged.

So here we go, I need your advice on what to go for, bear in mind I had the best of everything in my old comp, £2000 + when it was built, but am now out of touch with latest equipment.

I want to use Intel CPU and Nvidia graphics card together with Ausus mainboard, the best spec you can come up with.;)

Seeming as though you have a high budget, go for an E6600 or quad core if you can afford it and a high 8800gtx series (check www.scan.co.uk as they offer a good range).

I'm sure you could get a top spec Corsair 2gb xm2 (get 2 lots) and have 2 sets of dual channel. Any Asus board seems to be good, get a largish one with plenty of pci slots (maybe even dual pci-x if you can afford it, that way you could get two 8800 series cards and run them in sli).
