Please give me your opinion's on website development software. I'm looking
to develop my own website and I would like to have full creative control of
the design and day to day operation of my website. I would like to purchase
a user friendly program to do this and I would like to hear from the master's
of software design and usage as to what programs you like best and as to the programs you dislike Thank you for your opinion.

I've always preferred to hand code my sites. With the exception of coding with .NET in which case I'd seriously consider using Visual Studio.

However, back to the basics. For HTML / XHTML / CSS / ASP / PHP / XML and any runtime scripting language I use editplus (www.editplus.com) Only because I don't like things like dream weaver and other wysiwyg editors that have a tendency to over generalize their code and clutter the hell out of it. I like my code small and to the point. Of course this requires you to know the language well enough.
