    Hi all

I fully understand this has been probably done to the death, however my situation is slightly different, also I cannot follow all of the steps layed down by Majorgeeks for malware removal, plus have not got the time during or after work as the computer is used 24hrs a day, I have two computers at work and both are on separate networks, I have a computer on one companies network and the other on my own companies network, when I plug in my memory stick into my companies computer, the various problems associated with Autorun.ini virus plagues my drive e.g. folders become hidden and I have to go to properties and unhide them, sometimes the drive will not open, a search window opens instead, so I have to access it through explore, anyway when I plug it into the other companies computer their anti-virus software deletes it immediately, they use McAfee, we use Panda, we also use a global desktop system, I think its like a virtual desktop, so I cannot download anything from the internet, however I can from the other companies computer, I have attached a log file from McAfee, can someone have a look at it and let me know if there is any free software/program to quickly get rid of this from my companies computer. Now I know many will be thinking why don't I just call the IT department, I have and they cannot find anything, so I thought I am better off doing it for myself, especially as I am overseas and far away from the IT department, can someone please help.

    Hi Ya, Pozzydrive

Check out this thread for details on using Autorun Eater 2.4.

Question: Can you not save the downloaded tools from our Read & Run Me First Guide to CD/DVD and transfer them that way?

    Hi Doc

Just tried autorun eater and found it works fine, the only problem is it constantly booted up stating it had found the autorun virus, unfortuanately it must be embedded deep in my computer and just keeps transferring on to my memory stick instantly, then is found by autorun eater and deleted and just keeps doing that over and over again, I probably need to something to remove this from the computer.

Thanks anyway, really appreciate your time on this.

    Regards

    Pozzy.

    You're welcome, Pozzy.

Sounds like you must manage somehow to run the READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide and start a thread in the Malware Removal Forum with the requested logs.
