adware, malware, & spyware?

I have a HP Pavillion with Windows Vista. I have been on myspace for a few weeks. I didnt start having a problem with with adware until around that time. I started to go back to a site with a random image generator to get codes and this time there was a warning saying that going to that site may harm my computer due to malware, would have been nice if I had gotten that warning the first time I went there. In a nutshell, my computer would act funny, so I would run anti-virus scans (none found) and run Ad Aware SE and there would be adware with a TAC rating of 3 (data miner), one that was TAC rating of 9. Everytime I run a scan there it is, over and over again.

Do I need to get rid of the codes that I got from the site or does the Ad Aware get rid of the bundled malware?

Does Ad Aware find malware or just adware?

If not then what anti-malware program do you recommend?

 

Computer Protection

I have AVG free anti-virus, Ad Aware SE, Windows Defender Firewall on my HP Pavillion (Windows Vista). What other recommendations do you have for other protection that is compatible with Vista?

 

Ad-Aware doesn't find real problems in my opinion, it only finds little things like cookies, MRU's and some adware. There are way better scanners that Ad-Aware.

You can have Ad-Aware remove the detections and then run a drive cleaner such as CCleaner to cleanup any junk/temp files.

If you feel like you have further infections and would like to confirm your system is clean then please follow the below instructions.
