adware/trojan problems

ok i really dont know what happened but everything just went downhill today...i have hijackthis so if you need a log i can post that up. but basically i ran ad-aware and thats picking up several types of trojans/adwares/malwares... i've tried ad-aware, ccleaner, spybot s&d, and mcafee. no matter how many times i delete them they keep coming back. now my latest ad-aware run just finished and apparently i have a "win32.p2p-worm.alcan.a" also

whenever i boot the computer, it runs normally, then explorer closes, i cant bring up the task manager or anything at that point.

help plz!!! if you need me to post up logs just tell me which ones

also another problem is that i cant uninstall limewire...everytime i reboot the computer it boots up again. also in the folder "programs", there is a bunch of .jar files that i have never seen before which are probably part of the problem..."xerxes.jar", "log4j.jar", "tritonus.jar", "vorbis.jar"

wtf is all this stuff??

Welcome to Major Geeks. Please run the following scan and then follow the instructions in the box below. Your computer is infected and Hijack This is not adequate to give us the information you need. If you can't run Combofix in normal mode, try running it in safe mode. After you've finished the Combofix scan, please upload the combofix log to us as an attachment. (Be sure the Remember Me button is checked when you log on). Then continue with the instructions in the second box and attach the requested logs with two further posts in this thread. Thanks!

Run this utility:

1. Download this file - Combo Fix
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Attach this log to your next reply.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

If, after doing ALL of the above, you still have a problem, make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis taking care to install it as per the instructions to the proper folder and to properly rename the hijackthis.exe file to analyse.exe. This is very important due to some new infections going around!

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:

CounterSpy (this one must be saved by you)

(AVG Antispyware log) – this one ONLY IF you were not able to run CounterSpy

Bitdefender – from step 6

activescan.txt – from the Panda scan from step 6

runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat

newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat

hijackthis.txt – the log from the analyse.exe scan – (HijackThis has to be renamed and be in the proper folder – read the instructions!)

NOTE:You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!

hey thx for the reply...but i was just so fed up with it that i just completely recovered the system with the cd. i'm kinda happy i did because now its 10x faster than it was before
