when i tried to run mgtools it got to start of scan and said application failed to initialize and then stopped.
it did seem to write files though. as per post.
no problems yet except pc running a bit slow. just want'd to do some preventive cure for memwathcer before any pop ups or unsolicited connections/downloads.
i hope that answers your question.

MGtools did run and the log is right where the READ AND RUN ME said it would be: C:\MGlogs.zip This is the file you should be attaching. The error message you are getting is probably related to trying to run ProcessDLL.exe. It probably is failing to run because you are missing the Microsoft .Net Framework software which you should have installed long ago from Microsoft Update.

You don't need to download ProcessDll.exe. It is a program already embedded into MGtools.exe. You just cannot run ProcessDll.exe because you do not have the .NET Framework software from Microsoft. However this does not stop MGtools from running. If you are having malware problems, just ignore the error message and continue with ALL of the instructions in the READ & RUN ME and attach the requested C:\MGlogs.zip file.

As TimW stated thus far you have not shown us any malware. Attach a log from HouseCall that shows what it is finding if it still finds problems. Perhaps it is just something in System Restore.
