    Yes, I thought of you when I was posting it, Laura. You also went to the wine country around Napa as well, didn't you? The bay area was my home for many years.

    We were in Napa, Carmel, and then hubby and I drove up the coast to San Fran. It's an unbelievable state around that area. My only regret was that we had constant clouds and no sign of the sun for most of the trip so I could get any really decent shots.

    Was this your friend you told me about that is the photographer?

    Nice pictures. CA has some really beautiful areas. Glad I got to see it. When I used to do aerial photography, I was amazed at how much different things look from the air, even at only a few thousand feet. :cool

    40 miles inland and it can be bright sunshine at the same time.

    275 miles North of the Bay you will find another Bay that I live near. It is a grueling 6 hour drive with hairpin turns and BST (Big Scary Trucks). :-D

    Hmm, deforested hills and huge sinkholes, I wonder what's the common denominator here?rolleyes:-D I did like the vineyard shots.:)

    Looks like the pictures were all shot through the window of the plane. We always opened the window and hung out to take pictures. :-D

    Some great pics. of the Bay area, Tim. Been a few decades since I've been in that part of the world. Things don't seem to be too different. A few more high-rise buildings, maybe.
