15 hours? for an xbox? dude..they would've made more.. I'm 100% sure of this.. lol

 

Not only would they have made more...the price`ll come down too. Perhaps I`m confusing fiscal responsibility with tight-a** cheap?(me)LMAO. I`d stand in line for 15 hours for very few reasons. The first would be a Beatles reunion, and of course since the great John Lennon was assassinated that`s not going to happen. The second would be a chance to meet Lewis (Chesty) Puller, the greatest Marine to ever live. Looking at my two choices, I realize I`d stand MUCH longer...

 

Yea and from what someone on another thread just said they're going on E-Bay for silly money... I know what I'd do...

 

If you wanted an x-box enough to stand in-line for 15 hours then you wanting an x-box surely isnt just a spur of the moment thing, so why didnt
you just reserve one a few months back?

 

sell it on ebay for $700 then when tehy get restocked buy one and get 4 games and a controller.

When I read this, I had to know how much they were retail.

$500 is the cheapest bundle I found, and that is only with one controller!!

i bought mine for one reason they are already selling for over 1000 on ebay... i paid 390 thanks to opening a credit card at the store. around december 20th do a one day auction...next day ups...im thinking i will make around 1200 or more for my 15 hours of freezing

i have one reserved but they called me and said that they only recieved 15 and i was number 20 on the list

 

yes....i called my mom when i knew i was going to get one and i told her i wanted perfect dark for it.....i got home and looked on ebay and called her again...she told me if i did not sell it i would be an idiot...so well im going to sell it

 

And of course George Harrison... Well he passed away with cancer, he didn't get assassinated. He may not have penned as many classics as John Lennon, but he wrote some great stuff - While My Guitar Gently Weeps being my favourite Beatles song

 

i dont truly want it until halo 3 comes out anyways.. i have four games for my xbox halo, halo 2 , and KOTOR 1, 2... i dont even really play my game systems...if i can make alot off of it now and save 400 dollars for may when halo 3 comes out i will still have made a ton of money

 

I stood in line once for the PS2, I chalk it up to one of the stupder things I've done.

I figure, I'll wait, let the beta testers (er, the early adopters) find all the problems. Then, I'll pick up a rev. 2 Xbox360, and at a cheaper price

What games are out for it now?

 

Some guy on the bus today was listening to the radio with headphones on and started telling people that the radio was saying how people were spending huge amounts of money for the new Xbox. He said that one guy paid $3000 for a new Xbox. Why the guy paid so much and from who he didn't say. Another person got robbed after buying one. I already stated that in another thread and don't mind repeating myself.

Sounds like the 15 hours of waiting was worth it. Good for you. And for 390, that's pretty sweet.

 

They pay so much simply to be the first to have one, or they want their kid to be the first on the block to get one this Christmas. We see this year in year out...of course they make enough of the Christmas hit toy for that year...they just don't release them so this hysteria can set in, then come New Year, everyone rushes out and spends what Christmas money they got on one too. Marketing hype!

I'm so glad I'm not a "labelist" or materialistic (to that degree, anyway).

 

and the really cool thing is that 9 of my friends that live in my housing development got one. and there are 3 in my house from my roommates....so even if i sell mine i can still play it......
