Something very strange happened when I tried to upload new file. When I go to c drive from list I don't see new one. I needed to click on C drive in picture on screen to get to the new file? Very strange.

After thinking about it I did have a reinstall of Windows. A tech from dell did it when they had
To replace my hard drive. This was done about 1 month after I had the computer.
So last night here is what happened. I had the OS:C file opened on task bar. When I tried to send new mgtools log I went to browse then went to my computer clicked on OS:C file looked for new zip file. Saw mgtools zip file BUT it was an older file. Then I clicked on C drive on right side of screen (picture of drive) Opened up and their was the new file. After that I closed task bar file went to OS:C and new file uwas there. I think somehow when you were fixing things we were working on two different windows. I don't understand this but maybe you do. I originally did not understand what you mean't by windows explorer. I did not realize a difference in using my cursor to get to a file and using windows explorer
    specifically.

    What screen shot.

I'm leaving work in a few minutes. Takes an hr to get home.

In mean time, in case we need it later, download and install Process Monitor from Microsoft. If it becomes necessary, this may help us track down the reason for get an access error when trying to start your BFE service.

I did not quite follow what you were saying in your previous message about the task bar and MGlogs.zip.

So the OS:C file was open and it was reduced to my taskbar. So when I went looking for the new zip file in my computer OS:C on left side of page. It only showed an older version of zip file. When I pressed on the right side of the screen the picture of Drive C the new one was there. Then when I closed the OS:C file on my task bar and went to the left side of the screen OS:C file the new one was there. Only after I closed it from the task bar.

    Hi Susie,

These logs indicate that the firewall is back on.
Is everything in working order now?

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Go back to step 6 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    6. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    7. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis if it present
    8. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 7 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    10. After doing the above, you should work through the below link:

Everything is working fine. I had to stop teamviewer in services it kept popping up at start even though it is not in start menu. In services it was listed as running so I just disabled it.
Could not find the windows check marks you asked me to uncheck?
I am going to follow the instructions tomorrow when I have more time.
I downloaded firewall today and already like it. It did find one trojan and a few threats that were programs I use so I just excluded them from the clean process. One was Combofix. I am going to delete it manually.

    Thank You So Much again
    Susieq:)

You're welcome. Glad we were able to get BFE and the Win Firewall working again.
The service always runs by default but the program does not. At least not on any PC where I have installed it. It will run if you have those options ( I mentioned to you ) enabled to load at start up and to add to the tray.
