I've been having problems with my PC lately (random shutoffs that happen closer together as the day goes along, along with a "burned electrical smell" and HOT power supply) that I attribute to a power supply being on the way out. Yesterday, after letting things cool down, I restarted and got a "NTLDR is missing, press ctrl+alt+del to reboot." I tried repairing the install using my XP disc but had no luck so I did a reinstall. Well, for no reason that I can think of I got the "NTLDR..." message again when restarting after installing my antivirus scanner. First thing I'm going to do is find out whether my power supply is indeed dying, but once I replace it what can I do to get my missing NTLDR back, hopefully without having to do a reinstall?

Thanks, I figured it out late last night. While reinstalling Windows on my SATA hard drive I disconnected my IDE drive, then when I reconnected the IDE it was made the default boot hard drive. A few seconds in BIOS config took care of that.
