Agricultural Irrigation

A couple of weeks ago on one of my forays to the creek and wooded area behind my residence in an attempt to secure some bait fish for a planned trip .. I found a few cannabis plants.. Those who know me know that I am against all illegal drugs.. I do have a background working with law enforcement so I first thought that I would call one of my friends that are still involved.. But knowing that with such a small amount and my friends working on the dealers in the area they probably would not have the time to pursue what I had found..
Suddenly it dawned on me that back somewhere around 1980 that I came across a similar situation in the same area.. I decided to follow the same course of action now as I did then..
And yes I proceeded to do my best and attempt to totally irrigate what I had found with my personal irrigation systyem.. I have returned to the area four times and I will continue to water the plants.. I am still wondering what will happen when harvested and used... HA HA HA

 

Remind me when I get up there this Christmas to never...NEVER...eat yellow snow.

Next thing you'll be telling me you had to remove bedroom doors.

Considering the fact that he irrigates the roots of the illegal plants and the roots then ingest (for lack of a better term) the urine it would I assume affect the taste/quality of the plant the same as other irrigation techniques are used in order to enhance certain species of plants. I would think that whomever tried smoke this illegal weed would get a sick feeling or at the very least would notice an unusual taste. *gag*

Yeah, it's a pretty universal application. I've seen it with both Clintons, John Kerry, the Yankees, the Red Sox, Enron, etc.

yup,alot of nitrate in human urine which plants love,so much so it was first nitrate source for gunpowder,a bishops urine was said to make the most powerfull powder because he was said to be purer but it was really due to his rich diet

 

Yeah, real clever. I guess you never learned anything about biology. Urine makes excellent fertilizer packed full of urea and other nutrients. Why not take a shit on the roots as well to really finish off the job.

Note to max: next time just call in the DTF or use some kind of poison and be done with it. Marijuana is against the law, plain and simple and those that use it and say it's a harmless drug are deluding themselves and should seriously ask those that have known them for years about the personality changes they have undergone and how they have 'dumbed' down over the years while they have smoked their weed. Sadly, that is unlikely though because they are in such a state of denial just like any other addict.

Appologies to Max. But i still don't think it is right to sabotage (or at least try to in Max's case) someones plants because you disagree it. Many users of cannabis use the drug for medical reasons. The drug is illegal, so people have to either grow their own, or buy it off drug dealers. (i'm not sure whether it is currently possible to get prescription cannabis or THC in the US). I know i would rather grow my own than buy it off drug dealers, who are often involved in more serious illegal activity which i don't want to fund.

The american government used to have a policy of spraying mexican cannabis fields with herbicide (paraquat i believe), and caused serious health problems in the people that sprayed the plants as well as causing extremely serious breathing related disorders and even death in people who smoked the sprayed cannabis. Purposfully poisoning something which you know or suspect is for human or animal consumption is IMO a far more serious criminal activity than smoking pot (in moderation of course ).

Any drug (legal or otherwise) will cause "dumbing down" if abused to the extreme.

Something not mentioned also figures into Max's actions: the plants were on his property, so he's entitled to do what he wants upon finding them. He was being kind just wizzing on them; I would have napalmed them.

There's also more "personal" reasons, but unless Max wants to elaborate, we'll just leave it at that.

 

In that case, fair enough. They lose my sympathy, and i take it all back. Max, you do what you want to those plants.

BTW, i have found hemp plants in my garden before - next to a bird table. Not from people sowing seeds or anything, but because hemp seeds are sometimes used in bird feeders.

 

I feel the need to chime in here. My entire life has been spent in farming and agriculture. Urinating on a plant will in no way affect the taste of the plant after the urine is dried up/absorbed by the plant. If you doubt my words, eat some organic corn. The stench of organic fertilizers would make a maggot gag, and if any part of that stench would remain, organic farming would go the way it should, the way of the dodo (but that is just my own opinion on organic farming ).

I, myself, would have just cut the plants down and gone my merry way. I can understand the sentiment though. I would be all for the legalization of hemp, if it wasn't for all the dumbass pot heads I deal with at least weekly.

max are you sure you dont know and LOVE anyone who smokes pot? if you are convinced that peeing on the plants is such a good idea, what if your child ends up with it? your sister? your mum? your best friend? your best friends child? live aloha.

As for the legalization of tsh..in my experience it's the pot heads who are most vocal about legalizing it...funny how they have smoked it for 10, 15, 20, 30 or more years and now that they have health problems they say they smoke it because it helps with their pain! Give me a break! What about all those years BEFORE you had the health problems and were toking away at it? hmmmm?

I have suffered from chronic pain for years which at times has left me bed ridden for days/weeks at a time. Due to severe allergies cannot take anti-inflammatory medications and I choose NOT to take other medications that would in any way alter my state of mind. I tried pot a few times with my brother when I was a kid but guess what? I grew up..it's against the law and even if they did legalize it I still would not touch the stuff. It's stupid and asking for trouble...you never know what you are getting...what it is laced with...I've seen what it has done to to many other people I know and it's darn sad...

GRRRRRRRRrr....stepping out for a break before I say to much more...now if they would only make cigarettes illegal too..I'd be the first to jump on the bandwagon in support of that...if that was illegal many people I know and love would likely still be alive or not in the shape they are in now.

I guarantee you if the person who planted the illegal plants is anyone my dad knows in the neighborhood they are more than aware of not only his feelings, but of his actions...he doesn't hesitate to speak up about it.


Added to that, it's a small town where everyone pretty much knows everyone else. My dad was involved with law enforcement for years and still helps out here and there when needed...especially with the Drug Task Force. He also, until recently (he's retired) was an elected member of the Village Board. Anyone stupid enough or disrespectful and inconsiderate enough to plant that crap even close to his home deserves anything they get.

Whether what I did affects the flavor or not is nothing that I am concerned with.. Although I do know who planted the ILLEGAL product my only feelings are that I know that what these persons are doing and when I see them high, I can say to myself I did try to affect the flavor..If they only knew what was used to water the ILLEGAL Plants would they really continue to use from that source..The answer is probably yes if they have been using it long enough.. I have seen the results of the use of cannabis .. Although no user will admit to negative long term use the facts are there and denial changes nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well said Abby. My older brother smoked cigarettes for years, and cannibis too I know now. I'm not sure which one did him in - probably a combination of both - but he died in 2004 at the age of 46. Had a pain in his abdomen and went to the hospital, thinking it was an ulcer . . . and never came home again. 11 days later he was dead of cancer.
Maybe, though, instead of making cigs totally illegal the powers that be should provide some kind of help for people to kick the habit. It's not easy to quit - I know. I put them down almost four years ago. This was the hardest thing I have ever done.
