We don't get any though. All the really good Idaho potatoes are exported out of state since that makes the farmers more money. :(

Awe, Mimsy, I don't buy them, I grow my own.. I'm not takin' yer taters;)

Actually Mimsy, Zach hasn't received the second card yet. I just used my extraordinary powers of deduction (roflmao) and with the clues you gave me there was only one logical conclusion. After all, who ever heard of a Idaho Radish, or Idaho Lemon, or even a Idaho Watermelon:-D

As for the second card, well in all honesty, you're beginning to scare me now:-D

roflmaoOkay Mimsy, NOW I know what Smurf Turf is!! Yeah, we got your second card today and I have never seen a football field with blue astro turf!! At first I just pictured a gang of Smurfs protecting their potato fields from rival Smurf gangs:-D Hey, that was the best I could do;) I can't wait until Zach comes home tomorrow (spent the weekend with his grandmother) and sees the Smurf Turf. I left both your cards in the mailbox along with Hrlow2s. It looks like this going to be an educational experience for Zach AND his dad!!! Blue astro turf, who'd a thunk it:confused

You'll get no argument from me there, I think it's pretty cool and unique!;) Just one question, when the Smurfs play on that blue field, isn't it rather hard to see them. I mean, the field is blue, the Smurfs are blue, they're wearing blue uniforms and why don't we just forget the rest of this post, huh? It's late, I'm tired and I have NO idea what I'm trying to say:-D Good Night, All:zzz

I used to live a few miles from here, couldn't get a decent artichoke either
although this place serves fried artichoke hearts, sounds odd but :drool

    Smurf Turf ftw! :-D

Yes, I am nearly as rabid a fan of my school's team as I am a fan of the Lakers. :)

Darlene, I have just got to ask, how do you eat them? I have tried many different ways to fix artichokes, but yet to find one that is edible.. It has got to be an 'acquired' taste.... I have really TRIED to eat it, but it was pretty bad... I just can't handle that one.... ;)

I think that's it, you either like them or not. I slather mine in mayo :-o
That restaurant deep fries the hearts and serves them with a ranch style sauce. If they have any nutritional value the way I eat them counters that. :-D

    Disclaimer on the cooking process!
Could have been baked or steamed! :-D
Haven't had them in fifteen years.
The GF's mum served them as starters.
Peeled away the petals (or whatever) and dipped in hot melted butter. Next - clench teeth and purse lips to collect the flesh and butter. :drool

I'm sure I'd still luv them that way now :p
