Alright, so. When i try to open up my friend's profiles instead of seeing the normal box, it comes up as a white horizontal stripe on the middle of my screen. To get rid of it I have to right-click the box on the menu bar and hit close. It's not so big of a deal, but its incredibly annoying. Also, all of my AIM boxes like Preferences, or creating my own away messages, the text and box in general is alot bigger than normal. This all isn't prohibiting IMing or anything, its just totally annoying. What do I do?

Here's a hijackthis log if that helps:

First, give this a try AIM Fix 1.0 (11/02/05) , afterwards please follow the steps below:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gifAfter doing ALL of the above and you still have a problem, make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below thread to properly use HijackThis and attach the log:

All steps in that thread were taken. All of those programs were run. All of those programs are installed and/or downloaded. This is not my computer, but I'm trying to help out my boyfriend fix his up. I would not have posted a hijackthis log without first running all of those programs. I've been working on this thing for over and hour and no virus program detects anything. Spyware has been deleted using both Spybot and Ad-Aware. As far as I can tell, there are no irregular processes running. I've deleted a few keygens that he installed, but the problem still exists.

    So, now what?

Actually, it looks like I fixed it by getting rid of those keygens.
    Nevermind. Sorry!!
