Since yesterday I've had a few problems concerning aol instant messenger.

I run Windows XP. Yesterday my version of aim froze (5.5 i believe). I continued to try and logon but as soon as it connected it froze and gave me an error and closed itself. So, I uninstalled it and opened up my browser to go to www.aim.com to get another download of the software. Every single time I go to try and get on that particular site my browser freezes. It's so bizarre.

I ran Ad-Aware and Norton Anti Virus 2003 and deleted all of the adware and spyware and there were no viruses found. I downloaded and ran the Aimfix from jayloden.com and that didn't work either. Now I'm noticing my browser being a little screwy and I'm unable to delete temporary internet files.

Does anyone know what I should do? Thank you.

One option is to download Mozilla Firefox. It can be found at www.mozilla.org. Then try to access AIM's website from Firefox.

sounds like you have some sort of spyware. That might help. Once you have completed those steps post a message here again. If it is spyware, maybe one of the mods can move it to the spyware section??
