I clicked a link somehow and now i have this in my profile:
    Happy Holidays Everyone
    New Years Partay!
or something like that. th new years part is a hyperlink to www.buddypicture.net and when u visit u agree to thier TOS and I guess it puts the abve int your profile. Ive gone into safemode and tried to root it out and kill it, uninstalled aim, reinstalled aim, switched to trillian and run adaware and AntiVir/ luke filewalker to no avail. Norton Antivirus also alerted on trojandropper.exe. I cleared my cookies and temp internet files as well and went through all y hidden files an I didnt see anything that looked malicious.Im running WinXP on an HP laptop, pentium 4, 256 ram. Its a basic out fo the box HP laptop. Im not a techie by any means, any help would be greatly appreciated. Also they say their adware is called b.exe I couldnt find it.
If you want to peek at it my aim is themaniels, its in the profile. Thanks

I noticed that website you posted gives you the option of removing their adware.

    Have you tried that? :)

I doubt it will do it but maybe they are honest

Whats a gamechannel? I use AOL dial up ( no choice at the moment) trillian to connect to aim, yahoo, and msn. I have an ipod/itunes as well. Would any of these be a gamechannnel? Thanks again to all for your seemingly infinite wisdom! This has been a major frustration. It appears to have worked. Also, I have a copy of "spyblast" which pops up alerts on many pages I visit. However it basicaly says "heres whats potentially attacking you" however it doesnt give me the option to terminate the violator What methods can I use to keep parasitic programs out of my box? Are there good "violators" that produce false positives? Also, many of the violators seem to be popups, any sugestions on an efffective pop up stopper? Any specific sites or types of sites i should aviod? Thanks again!
