I am trying to update the BIOS on my ASUS P5G41T-M LX but ASUS insists that I have the Akamai DLM.

I Googled it and found lots of hits, even found lots of hits that said I could download it but when I clicked on those hits it got very complicated usually they were actually trying to get me to download something they were trying to sell.

Anyone know where I can really download the Akamai DLM?

Not sure where your trying to download the BIOS update, sound like your trying to download it
from the official ASUS site with 'Model Automatic Detection'. Unless you have a browser hijacker
when trying to download from the official site and it's directing but I doubt that's the case.
Or you only just got the model number and are trying to download the BIOS update from an unofficial site.
Couldn't really work out what you was explaining but nonetheless lets get on with the solution.

Here is the link for the the page where you can select your model from the official site, sounds like you got the first model on the list.
Once you have selected the model it will ask you for your OS, simple select then scroll down to BIOS update.

Probably just a glitch with the Auto-Detect just ignore it unless you have further evidence that would lead you to otherwise.
