While it is certainly is good news, but I think the violence is about to take on a wild fire type of intensity once his minions find this is confirmed. My thoughts right now are with the soldiers over there right now with knots in their stomachs fearing severe retaliation. Take care over there.

    20, of Roscoe, Illinois.
Killed in action when his unit was ambushed by the enemy in Al Hillah, Iraq. Assigned to C Company, 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on March 31, 2003.

He might not have killed you Brandon, but hopefully your comrades will see a lull in KIA's since this ass is now dead. I miss ya bro and when I heard about this you were the first person I thought of. So have a beer and a fine cigar wherever you are.

I was watching an interesting story on Fox News about this just a bit ago, on whether or not it's kosher to celebrate Zarqawi's death. Raised some interesting points.

In any case, I'm glad this bastard is gone.

It won't make any difference, he is only one person, but it's good he's dead.

I only wish he suffered a long and agonising death.

It might provide a morale boost to Iraqi and International Forces, but the violence will probably escalate as they will assume they need to avenge their leaders death. But sooner or later he was gonna die so now we need to focus our targets on Osama. Besides, I think the death had as much impact as the capture of Saddam Hussein, which was minimal. Even after the end of major combat, the death toll in Iraq continues to rise to even new heights, and will continue to do so unless we hand over control to Iraq and LEAVE.

Excellent, the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist.

Interestingly enough, it was one of his own "inner circle" that provided the necessary data to the folks that launched the 500lb welcome wagons right into his front door. Good shootin'.

(shrug) The death toll will continue to rise whether we leave or not. Those that don't want peace and a unified Iraq fair to all 3 groups living there will continue to raise hell, whether we're there or not, aided by Syria, Iran, and others that don't WANT a free society in their midst. Many of the attacks there have NOT focused on the U.S. troops, but directly on the Iraqis themselves.

But the most effective way to reduce the enemy's effectiveness is to eliminate the leaders that can inspire, plan, and finance the resistance. Al-Z and the others on his team that got hit fit the bill.

Kosher? lest we forget the celebrations, parties in the streets if you will when the 11's were hit.

Damn that! I did a little jig and happily saluted him with as many middle fingers as I could produce in rapid succession.

Piss on him and bury him ass up so we can kick it when we walk by.

    ... Kosher.. bah..

It's actually four groups ( :p ) when you include the marsh Arabs that Saddam persecuted for years, and almost made extinct.

It would have been great if he was wounded, and suffered a prolonged and agonising death followed by 50 YRS in a smelly cell.

This is the same germ that beheaded people, like Nick Berg, then video taped it.

Then his so called mates give him up for money.

And they call us greedy and obscene!

Good, I hope they beat the crap out of the maggot.

As you may recall, 2 years ago 4 Americans were killed, hung, and burned to death, I wish this bastard could of suffered the same fate.
