hi, i seem to have picked up alexa from somewhere, i only noticed when i checked my hjt scan and found 'related.htm', i quickly ran ad-aware and fixed 8 problems then ran spybot (found nothing) and ran ad-aware again (nothing this time), i ran hjt again and its clean,
my question is this - is alexa 'tools/show related links' or is this just what it uses,
    thanks for any help

It is a mild form of malware that actually comes preinstalled with your OS. It is actually an item typically debated. Two lines will typically show in your HJT log that can simply be fixed an you will never miss them. Of course Windows Defender will not detect it because they do not consider it to be a problem. Microsoft installed it.
